Gary Roosma, from OMF, continues with our two part series about the importance of witnessing for God.
To start off, Gary poses an interesting questions for Christians to think about: If you are a parent and your child is being persecuted because of his or her affiliation with you, would you, as a parent, rather prefer that your child deny you in hopes to be alive? You understand that your child’s true intention is not to deny you, so why would God, being the best dad we all have, would expect us to die for His name?
To illustrate the importance of martyring for God’s name, Gary tells us about the story of Daniel and how he was blameless before God and the king he served. There was a conspiracy against Daniel that his colleagues caused that targeted his faith. The colleagues used the “Law of Medes and Persians that cannot be revoked” to challenge the law of God. Gary explains the importance of faithfulness in witnessing for God.
