May we also often and fervently pray for
and keep watch over this country that we live in today. In particular, ask God
to help the people that belong to Him “…humble themselves and pray and seek my
(God’s) face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I (God) hear from
heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles
7:14), and to let the church have the power to be salt and light to the world,
“…so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a
crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
as you hold out the word of life …” (Philippians 2:15-16), thereby returning
all glory to our Father in Heaven.
